The executive level is male-dominated with barriers that few women are able to break through. This paper discusses those barriers. Three female CEOs (two American, one Japanese) are profiled with information about others who have reached high executive levels, including Carly Fiorina who is the first women in history to lead a Dow 30 company. Women in Non-Traditional Careers

Women can earn a lot more money as machinists or auto mechanics than they would as clerks or child-care workers, and according to one estimate this amounts to almost a half-million dollars more over a lifetime. So why aren't more women entering into non-traditional careers?
